Kerry Hannon is a contributing editor to Forbes magazine and writes the “Second Verse” column for Forbes.com. She is AARP’s Jobs Expert and writes the “Great Jobs for Retirees” column. She is the PBS Web site NextAvenue.org expert on personal finance for boomer woment and writes a weekly column. Hannon’s forthcoming book Great Jobs for Everyone 50+: Finding Work That Keeps You Happy and Healthy … And Pays the Bills, will be published by John Wiley & Sons, September 2012.She is also the author of award-winning What’s Next? Follow Your Passion and Find Your Dream Job (Chronicle Books, 2010) and is a featured contributor to 65 Things To Do When You Retire (Sellers Publishing, 2012). Hannon’s previous books include Getting Started In Estate Planning (John Wiley & Sons, 2000), Suddenly Single: Money Skills for Divorcees and Widows (John Wiley & Sons, 1998), Ten-Minute Guide to Retirement for Women (MacMillan Publishing, 1996) and You and Your Money: A Passage from Debt to Prosperity (Credit Education Group, 2005). She has published one nonfiction saga of an American Indian Trading Post, Trees in a Circle: The Teec Nos Pos Story (Teec Nos Pos Trading Post).

Hannon is a MetLife Foundation Fellow On Aging.
